Dr. Andreas Azas after practicing in the United Kingdom as a Consultant in General Surgery has moved to Cyprus based in Larnaca.
Dr. Andreas Azas graduated from American College of Athens and had his medical studies at Charles Medical University of Prague, Czech Republic graduating in 2000. He had his 6 years of high standard and demanding surgical training in Greece at the “Atticon” Teaching Hospital and after his completion in 2010 was recognized as a specialist General Surgeon and been awarded the Certificate of Completion Training (CCT) by the General Medical Council of United Kingdom.
He practiced as a Consultant and offered his service in Laparoscopic General and Emergency Surgery. He cared for and performed laparoscopic, and minimally invasive surgery on patients with colon pathology, inflammatory bowel disease and anal and perianal conditions, as well as on patients with general emergency surgical conditions of an acute abdomen such as complicated intraabdominal complications, complicated abdominal wall hernias, acute cholecystitis, acute appendicitis. Furthermore, during this time he also held the responsibility for training trainees.
During his 19 years of studies, training and practicing he has gained significant experience and knowledge in the diagnosis and management in Surgery. He has performed a significant number of surgical procedures in all area of General Surgery especially in the subspecialty of Abdominal wall Surgery.
Dr. Andreas Azas is a registered recognized Specialist General Surgeon with the General Medical Council (UK) Hellenic Medical Association (Greece) and the Cyprus Medical Association (Cyprus). Member of the Association of Surgeons Great Britain and Ireland (ASGBI), Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons Great Britain and Ireland (ALSGBI), American Hernia Society (AHS), European Hernia Society (EHS), World Society of Emergency Surgery (WSES).
